Message runs a 1.2 cap???

The Nismo radiator cap is a heavy duty radiator cap, which operates at 18.2 lbs (1.3 kg/cm) compared to 12.6 lbs (0.9 kg/cm) non-turbo and 16.8 lbs. (1.2 kg/cm) turbo Nissan OE(Original Equipment) stock caps.

I seriously doubt that the .1 difference between the Nismo cap and a stock TT cap will cause any problems, but if the Koyo radiator can't handle over 12.6 lbs (0.9 kg/cm), then maybe you do have a problem. That would mean you are 3.6 lbs.(.4 kg/cm) over the recommended max pressure.

My Howe recommends a 22-24 lb. (22lbs=1.55 kg/cm) radiator cap. The Nismo Cap is under that by at least 4 lbs, so I don't think I have anything to worry about.

As long as you make sure all your coolant, hoses, and connections are OK like you should be doing anyway, you'll be fine.
